Earthquake Drill Reveals Poor Cellular Coverage

An In-Building Distributed Antenna System (DAS) can be an extremely important tool to inform people of an approaching disaster.  Many organizations have developed emergency preparedness plans that warn people in advance through text messages and emails that are often received on their cell phones.  Poor signal in a building can result in a significantly reduced  level of notification and may cause confusion.  In this article posted by the Daily Titan, California State University Fullerton’s Student Body Newspaper,  poor in-building cellular coverage was revealed and the University is making plans to correct the coverage issues.  DAS Simplified addresses campus coverage issues regularly and can design a solution that will support campus wide cellular coverage for daily use and in the event of a disaster.
